Best Video Editor Ever
I have been looking for a long time (10+ years) for a good video editor on the PC. And well my quest has come to an end. AVIDemux has come to my aid. This entirely FREE application was rooted from UNIX and then ported to both Windows and OSX. It rocks.
With encoding to almost any format, simple splits and joins. Plus special effects, and not the crap like twirls and such, but real filters like noise, deinterlace, and sharpend/smooth. I congratulate the authors of this software for a fine achievement. However they are still in heavy development, so I do recommend using the CVS versions...

Dave,
ReplyDeleteHow does this one compare to Ulead's Visual Studio or Pinnacle? I use Ulead's VS8 and my only complaint is that I didn't get the Dolby Audio package for $30. Every now and then, I really need that and there is no good way to get Dolby converted to anything else without losing sync with the video.
How the heck have you been? My brother brought your name up the other day and I told him I hadn't seen you since NTR.net way back in 1995 or so. I'd love to hear your stories about that company sometime! Congrats on the baby!
Regards,
Ed
